The following is a testimonial written by a physician who went to S. Larry Schlesinger, MD, FACS for her Hawaii plastic surgery needs. Her experience was a very positive one and gave her a new perspective on medical care, having made a career as a medical doctor.
If I had to sum it up in one word I would say appreciation; in two words, appreciation and fun.
First of all, I find I have more appreciation and respect for women and their choices. I am observing more women and appreciating different body types and beauty. On a personal level, I have learned about truly being non-judgmental of other women, and again, appreciating and respecting differences in beauty and body types and body art and body enhancements, whether it be tattoos, piercings, cosmetic surgery, or different fashions and self expression.
I say fun, because it is most of all fun and carefree to be able to change up and enhance my appearance. I have more fun shopping, going to the beach, and going out on dates with my husband.
As a physician going through this, it means having more empathy and understanding of patients and their choices. And I now also understand what it feels like to be a patient and how it feels to not be in control. I have experienced what many of my patients have gone through.
I would say that sums it up; now I’m going to work on the Real Self review.
