Introduction
Lip fillers are dermal fillers that are used to treat the lip area specifically. Dermal fillers are one of the most popular non-invasive treatments currently. Beyond refining the look of your lips, the injection also stimulates collagen production and promotes skin elasticity and health. When you make an appointment to visit Dr. Schlesinger, he can recommend a number of lip filler procedures we offer at our clinic, including:

Lip Fillers in Hawaii can benefit a range of people, but they can be ideal for the following candidates:
First Steps
The first step on the road to maintaining a youthful look at the hands of Dr. Schlesinger is to book a consultation to discuss your options. During your consultation, Dr. Schlesinger will take the time to look at the skin on your lips and surrounding areas, and the loss of fat and collagen due to age.
Based on his assessment he can recommend which treatment will have the most impactful benefit on your skin. The consultation is also a great opportunity to ask questions and relay any concerns you may have. Dr. Schlesinger will give you all the relevant information for you to make the right choice.
All of our Lip Filler treatments are quick, painless, and require no downtime. On the day of your appointment, when you arrive at our clinic you will be asked to fill out paperwork, before being taken into the treatment room. Dr. Schlesinger will explain which lip filler he will be using on you.
The first step is to ensure that your face is clean before the injection and will use either a cold compress or numbing cream to make your experience more tolerable and painless. The second step is the injections. Injections are marked beforehand and will take just a few seconds.
After the injections, it’s normal for our team to gently massage the area so the filler is evenly dispersed. The treated area will be examined and we will only add more filler if needed. This process will continue until you are both satisfied with your appearance.
Lip filler injections take approximately 20 to 30 minutes and require virtually no downtime after the procedure because they are minimally invasive. That means you can go back to nearly all of your daily activities as soon as your procedure ends.
The majority of our patients do not experience any side effects from lip fillers. Some redness or swelling is typical and subsides within a few hours or a day. Dr. Schlesinger can recommend some topical gels or ointments to soothe any irritation you may experience.
We always recommend avoiding any intense or strenuous activity for the first 24 – 48 hours to minimize any swelling or bruising. You may feel a bit tender for the next day or so, but you shouldn’t require any pain medication. There may be an initial “overfilled” appearance in the treated areas, which will settle within a day.
What is the cost?
The cost of Lip Fillers in Hawaii is determined by which filler is used, the amount of filler used, and the areas being treated, among other factors. The best way to find out how much your treatment will cost is to come in for your consultation and have a treatment plan created for you. Our Patient Coordinator will be able to give you a price breakdown for every step of your treatment.
