I feel like it was a miracle surgery because not only did it take care of physical things that I was uncomfortable with, but it just…it’s helped me so much internally in ways I didn’t even really think were possible.
My name is Tammy and I had the Mommy Makeover. My doctor was S. Larry Schlesinger, MD, FACS and I had my procedure done at the Mommy Makeover Institute.
Before the procedure I felt self conscious. I felt a little ashamed of how I looked after having kids and I felt frustrated. I had a pretty good idea from what I had read about him that a lot of people liked him. But when I met him and just talked with him and went over what he thought about my case specifically I felt that he was really qualified to do the procedure. And then not only just his personal qualifications as a doctor he was human and I was really nervous to see a plastic surgeon and he just…I felt really calm in his office talking with him.
I knew even when I was just waking up from anesthesia and I was just coming to and I looked down and I see…and I know there’s tubes everywhere and there’s some swelling and everything…but I looked down and just the fact that my stomach was flat which was the biggest issue, the biggest concern to me, was enough that I knew when I woke up that I had absolutely, without a doubt, made the right decision to have the Mommy Makeover.
That self consciousness just like, washed away. It’s not even really on the radar anymore.
I feel confident, I feel proud and I feel happy. I go to the beach or I go to the pool with the kids and I’m not concerned with how I’m going to look if I need to get up and walk somewhere.
I honestly don’t feel like there’s a strong enough thank you that I can tell S. Larry Schlesinger, MD, FACS. I really feel that I have my life back. I had babies young…21, 22, and 25…and there was a little bit of resentment which led to a lot of guilt.
I do feel that I have my life back that I can just, just move on and be happy with who I am. My concerns were justified like, that it wasn’t something less on my part but just that this was something that a lot of people dealt with and would be able to be fixed.
