Hi, I’m Larry Schlesinger from Honolulu, Hawaii and I’m a board certified plastic surgeon. And the question today is, “What is the cost of male breast reduction surgery, or gynecomastia surgery?”
Obviously, it varies from region to region. Hawaii is one of the more expensive areas in the country for cosmetic plastic surgery. The average cost of gynecomastia surgery is $5,500. The cost has to do with the operating room, the cost of the anesthesiologist and the cost of the surgery itself. So, it’s been my experience in Hawaii that the cost is someplace between $8,000 and $5,000 depending on the quality of the surgeon, the quality of the anesthesiologist, and the cost of the operating room.
