He describes two types of gynecomastia and the recommended procedure to remove both, giving men the flat chest they are looking for.
Hi, I’m Larry Schlesinger, and I’m a board certified plastic surgeon in Honolulu, Hawaii. Today’s question is how do you treat gynecomastia?
The treatment of gynecomastia is really two things. One, because much of what gynecomastia is, or what appears to be gynecomastia is known as pseudogynecomastia, and that’s fat. So the treatment of choice is liposuction. You can get rid of a good deal of gynecomastia with liposuction.
The second type of gynecomastia, and the two are usually combined, is gland. And gland in men, when we’re young kids, it’s the same as gland in a woman. The gland is a collection of ducts which usually produce a gland tissue as well. The treatment of choice is to surgically cut it out.
It’s been my experience that gynecomastia is usually true and pseudo.
