What is a Brazilian Butt Lift? What is the cost of a Brazilian Butt Lift in Hawaii? What is the Recovery Like for a Brazilian Butt Lift? S. Larry Schlesinger, MD, FACS answers all of these common questions.
The Brazilian Butt Lift is a way to increase the size of the female buttocks, some males do it too. It increases the size of the butt lift and it is done with fat. The fat graft to the butt. Now there are several important things here. Number one the Brazilian Butt Lift was not invented in Brazil, it was invented in South Carolina but who the heck wants a South Carolina Butt Lift. It’s a much sexier term to say Brazilian Butt Lift. Number two, I actually liposuctioned that area, the buttocks area way back in the day and I noticed the tissue fell down. Strange, it was like no other tissue in the body. The gentleman, the plastic surgeon in South Carolina noticed that when you injected that area, it raised up. So that was the one piece I missed. If I had gone just a little farther, I could have invented the “Hawaiian Butt Lift”, but I didn’t.
What is the cost of a Brazilian Butt Lift?
Well normally you add together the liposuction of the area plus the fat grafting to the butt and so the standard charge in Hawaii is somewhere between $8,000 and $10,000. I would say that if you get it for $7,000 it’s actually pretty inexpensive. If you get it for over $10,000 you’re probably paying more than you should.
What is the Recovery time for the Brazilian Butt Lift?
The recovery time for a Brazilian Butt Lift is relatively quick. Fat grafting, well first of all, liposuction – after five days, one can go about doing almost anything because the clots, the little clots have solidified on the capillaries and on the vessels and therefore, as long as you take it easy for the first five days you can go back and do just about anything. On the other hand, with the Brazilian Butt Lift, you have added on a component. Now you are putting fat into the butt and that fat is safer and lasts longer if you try not to sit on it. So the Brazilian Butt Lift, you would be able to go to work and do things but try not to sit directly on both buttock cheeks. Obviously that is difficult to do at most jobs but some creativity will allow you to go back to work in say five days.
