Before I started competing this year, 2016, I made the decision to redo my implants, get them larger, get them more up to where they need to be for competition on a national level and I’ve placed first in every show I’ve competed in which is six shows this year. So I would have to say that it was a good choice and it brought the symmetry back to my body and has been a good look.
Being in physique competition there is definitely things that need to be different. We do get down to eight percent body fat which shows rib cage, it shows everything, veins…so any kind of rippling or any imperfection in the implant or mis-position would definitely affect competition. So I felt that S. Larry Schlesinger, MD, FACS took that into consideration and made sure that they were set even, that the implants didn’t ripple, he chose the implant that would be the smoothest when I got down to a low body fat percentage so that my overall look, when I’m on stage is smooth.
I just think that the office staff and S. Larry Schlesinger, MD, FACS are very honest, upfront, and I appreciate that. I think that he’s an artist. I think that he is proud of his work, and I think that he should be proud of his work. I think he’s a very confident, competent doctor and they’re missing out if they don’t go to him.
Everyone I’ve told to get them done I’m like go bigger than you think you’re gonna want to go. Because you get them in there and with the swelling, you’re like “Oh, I love them” and then the swelling goes down and you’re like “Oh, I wish I went bigger”. I would say 90 percent. There’s not many that I hear “Oh, perfect” or “Their too big” you never hear too big but I hear perfect or I wish I went bigger.
