Boobie Blues Story – Recovery from Breast Augmentation Can Be Emotional

Sheri tells her story through breast augmentation recovery…and even though she was prepared for “boobie blues” she was surprised she experienced it.

Sheri was done having children and had been looking forward to the day when she got her breasts done. She had done her research, she felt confident in her surgeon and was excited for her new look.

A few weeks after surgery she was surprised she was not comfortable in her new body – her body looked great but she worried she had done something wrong. She went back to S. Larry Schlesinger, MD, FACS and wanted to take her breast implants out, which S. Larry Schlesinger, MD, FACS was willing to do. Sheri mentions that it was a relief knowing she could get the implants out and it helped her wait and try to get back to her daily life.

Within a few months, she was much more comfortable with her new shape and felt the way she had always imagined after getting a breast augmentation.

Sheri hopes that her story will help anyone else feeling alone or questioning their decision. To remind them “boobie blues” is common and to talk to family and friends and to wait a little longer. With time, you may love the way you look too.
